| How do your
skills compare with the hallmarks of a professional?
|
||||
| ALS and/or PLS
certification will demonstrate a mastery of office procedures, measure the
discipline to assume responsibility and exercise initiative and judgment,
gauge the ability to interact on a professional level with lawyers,
clients and other support staff, assess a working knowledge of procedural
law, the law library, and how to prepare legal documents, and denote the
ability to perform routine as well as specialized communication tasks. Professional certification provides an opportunity to help you with job performance and career enhancement. Professional certification is one way to prepare for a demanding career in the field of law. Attaining this goal demonstrates that you have made a commitment to and have an aptitude for succeeding in the ever-changing legal environment, that you are dedicated to professionalism, and that you have accepted the challenge to be identified as exceptional. Many colleges and universities offer educational credit for passing the certification exams. How frequently are the exams given? How long are the exams? What are the costs? Are study materials available? Are study groups available? Click on the ALS and PLS icons to the right to find out more! |
